CycleWest Ireland is an authentic Irish Bike Tour Company. Established in 1997, CycleWest Ireland is a family run Bike Tour Company that offers tailor made family adventures, guided, independent tours throughout the West Coast of Ireland.

Connemara, the Burren region, the Aran Islands are the regions we concentrate our tours in. CycleWest Ireland offer a hand crafted selection of Bike tours in Ireland. Our Bike tours in Ireland are self led, guided, family oriented and group tours.

Founder and Managing Director. Who can believe that it has been 15 years since we started a small biking adventure company in the West of Ireland?  I am very grateful for the wonderful guests we have met, friends made from all over the world and terrific memories over the years...

With a growing interest in bike touring and multi sport adventures, I saw a unique opportunity in 1996 for the creation of a multisport biking company - recognizing the landscapes of my own backyard Connemara and the Burren in the West of Ireland as some of the best biking in the world. We set off on our adventure an in 1998, CycleWest Ireland was formed.

Dave Ray designed and created routes for International Car Rallies in Ireland throughout the 1960’s and 70’s. Using these back roads and off the beaten track routes, we have created some of the premier biking routes in the West of Ireland.

Combined with his background in environmental sciences and a passion for nature, Dave has a wealth of knowledge about the West of Ireland.

Together we have used our local expertise and first hand knowledge of the West of Ireland to combine the best of routes, restaurants, points of interest and local accommodations as part of our premier tours in the West of Ireland.
