Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience
The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction with a magical vista that captures the hearts of up to one million visitors every year. Standing 214m (702 feet) at their highest point they stretch for 8 kilometres (5 miles) along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. This natural wonder’s Visitor Experience includes over 800m of cliff edge paths and viewing areas, the gothic style 19th century O’Brien’s Tower and the eco-friendly underground visitor centre building containing visitor services and facilities, gift shop, restaurant & coffee shop and the award winning Atlantic Edge Exhibition. The team of Cliffs of Moher Rangers provide visitor information and guided tours as well as fulfilling an important conservation and safety role. The region is a special protected area (SPA) for seabirds and during the nesting season are home to over 30,000 pairs of seabirds including a number of protected species
The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience is open year round from 9am. The visitor centre building closes on 24th, 25th & 26th December only. Opening times may be subject to weather conditions.
