Founded in 1997, CycleWest Ireland have been offering small group and family biking adventures for 25 years. Our bike tours are legendary and small group tours of the West Coast of Ireland are our speciality. We love to personalise our tours to suit your needs. Our tours are immersive and celebrate the culture, food and landscapes and heritage of life in the West of Ireland. We take you through the spectacular coastline and islands of the West Coast of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way.
In 2015 we also began to offer tours in Scotland, celebrating the iconic Scottish Isles, lochs, highlands and amazing culture. These trips are equally as immersive and memorable.
Our Passion is Your Next Adventure
Director, Fidelma Ray, founded CycleWest Ireland in 1998 and has been the lead guide and tour director from the beginning. She has been a tour guide, an operator, a mentor and a leader in EcoTourism in Ireland. CycleWest Ireland became the first Gold Certified Ecotourism operator on the Island of Ireland in 2012. Currently studying for her MSc in Responsible Tourism Managment at Leeds Beckett University, she also trains and mentors tourism businesses in sustainable practices.
Born and raised in Galway City, in the West Coast of Ireland, Fidelma spent fifteen years working in the hospitality and financial sectors in New York and Atlanta before returning to Ireland. She is passionate about ALL things Irish ~ and loves to introduce her guests to the same: from an amazing array of local food products, culture, music, landscapes, heritage and history. These provide the essential ingriedients to her tours. Added to that, a sprinkle of warm hospitality, welcoming accommodations and detailed planning, be prepared for a memorable experience!
