This tour combines cycling through unparalleled countryside by day with  incredible Tuscan cucina by night. Tuscany is often viewed as a gastronomic region of excellence which beckons to lovers of sublime provincial cooking and superb wine; fresh pastas, porcini mushrooms, and locally produced pecorino cheese from Pienza  mark the area’s celebrated dishes, which just happen to be the perfect match for its world-class wines. The province of Siena encapsulates these qualities.

Day 1: Welcome to Pienza
Meet & Greet in the beautiful Renaissance town of Pienza, where your bike tour begins. Pienza, a remarkable example of early town planning is lovely to explore with its beautiful architecture and cobblestone streets. After your bike fitting there is an optional bike ride to San Quirico d’Orcia. Distance 20km /12,5 miles

Day 2: Montepulciano & Vino Nobile
Today’s looped bike trip takes you to Castelmuzio, Montichiello and Montepulciano, the jewel of Southern Tuscany. Stop along the way to visit the convent where parts of The English Patient were filmed, and in the enchanting hamlet of Castelmuzio. Lunch at Montepulciano before returning to Pienza with a stop in the village of Monticchiello. Distance 55km/34 miles 

Day 3: Montalcino and Brunello town
Bike from Pienza to Montalcino, with a pause in fairy-tale Bagno Vignoni, a miniature spa town. Stop for lunch in Castiglione d’Orcia before continuing on to the ancient abbey of Sant’Antimo. The famed wine town of Montalcino is your destinationo of the day. Here you can visit the fortress to see a breathtaking view of the entire valley you’ve just biked. Distance 46 km/ 28,5 miles 

Day 4: Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey & Siena
Start your bike trip with a relaxed rideto Monte Oliveto Maggiore, a Benedictine abbey built in the 13th century. Following this, travel into the fascinating area of Le Crete, Tuscany’s answer to the Badlands. Here the verdant hills give way to little domes of clay and Tuscany reveals another face of its identity. Distance 58 km/ 36 miles

Day 5: San Gimignano “Città delle Torri”
Leave Siena on an old medieval pilgrim trail Via Francigena. Stop in Casole d’Elsa:originally inhabited by the pre-Roman Etruscans before continuing on along your scenic route to Castel San Gimignano. In the distance you will see the seventeen towers of the medieval town of San Gimignano, just after San Donato village. Distance 60Km /37,5Miles 

Day 6: Castellina in Chianti
The previous days of bike tour have prepped our legs for the famed hills of Chianti, which await us today! Your climb will have many recovery stops,  including medieval Barberino and Tavernelle the gateway town to the ‘Chianti Classico’ region! The ride continues along the same winding panoramic road to Castellina in Chianti. Distance 40km/25miles. 

 Day 7: Radda in Chianti and Arrivederci!
On the final day of your tour, take an optional ride  along the “Via dei Castelli” road and stop for a cappuccino in Radda in Chianti. Distance 35Km / 21,5miles.
